Crews battled weekend wildfires in Anderson and Morgan Counties this weekend. Saturday night, a 75-acre wildfire in west Anderson County jumped into Morgan County and was contained. Crews continued to battle wildfires on Sunday, and one fire located between Andy’s Ridge and Waldren’s Ridge in Anderson County had grown to an estimated 160 acres. It was 40-percent contained shortly before 5pm, according to the Tennessee Division of Forestry, and information from the Anderson County Emergency Management Agency. No structures were in danger, Anderson County EMA Director Brice Kidwell said Sunday afternoon. The cause of the blaze was not known at this time. It was first reported at 6:05 p.m. Saturday evening.
