One Person Airlifted After Falling Into A Manhole In Crossville

Crossville Fire and Rescue was called to a confined space rescue Tuesday afternoon when a person fell into a manhole being constructed on Interstate Drive. Emergency personnel responded around 1 PM. It took rescuers about 30 minutes to extract the victim who was later flown to UT Medical Center. The incident occurred near the Crossville Hardwoods plant.
