A 23-year-old driver was injured and now faces charges after crashing his 2008 Dodge Avenger on Highway 68 in Cumberland County. It happened around 1pm Wednesday (11/15/23). According to the THP, Stephen Burford was traveling east on State Route 68 when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway near Turkey Oak Road. The vehicle struck a utility pole and then hit and tree and a yard sign. The THP says Burford was hurt in the accident but did not list his condition. Charges pending include Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel, No Seat Belt and Insurance.
