A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Nashville after he reportedly dragged a THP trooper during a traffic stop. It happened at the I-440 and I-24 eastbound split. The suspect, 31-year-old Michael Moore, was stopped for tailgating. As the trooper approached the vehicle he noticed it was not in park. At some point the trooper attempted to open the door to turn the vehicle off and that’s when Moore allegedly took off, dragging the officer. According to reports, the trooper managed to pull himself into the vehicle and steer it into a concrete wall. A search of Moore’s vehicle reportedly revealed a loaded handgun and various drugs. He was charged with Assault of a First Responder, weapon possession, drug possession and DUI. He was booked into the Nashville Metro jail.
