Lake Tansi Volunteer Fire Station reported on Facebook that Cumberland County Firefighters along with mutual aid from Crossville Fire, and State Forestry, responded to a large brush fire off Hillendale Road around lunchtime Thursday (11/16/23). Multiple structures had to be protected before forestry was able to put in containment lines. Firefighters also responded to a brush fire inside Lake Tansi community before this.
Cumberland County Firefighters are asking the community to not burn at this time. Please wait until we get some good lasting rain and burning conditions are better.
