After a rise in pedestrian fatalities in Tennessee, AAA has released a new survey that says 1 in 4 drivers in the state have nearly hit a pedestrian.
One in five Tennesseans who walk in residential or downtown areas said they had almost been hit by a vehicle while walking in the past year.
So far this year, over 160 pedestrians have been killed in Tennessee. The THP says 4 pedestrians were killed last year just over the Thanksgiving holiday.
