#10 Tennessee Upset By #17 North Carolina, 100-92

The 10th ranked Tennessee Volunteers headed to Chapel Hill North Carolina to take on the 17th ranked Tar Heels. After being down by at least 23 points the Vols were able to cut a lead back to 10 however it wasn’t enough and North Carolina upset Tennessee 100-92.

Dalton Knecht was Tennessee’s leading scorer with 37 points. Knecht unfortunately went down with an ankle injury in the 4th quarter. Josiah-Jordan James dropped 20 points on the Tar Heels Jonas Aidoo and Jordan Gainey had 13 points and 11 points respectively. RJ Davis lead UNC in scoring with 27 points while Armando Bacot, Harrison Ingram, and Cormac Ryan rounded out Carolina’s top scorers.

After dropping three straight games to #1 Kansas, #2 Purdue and now #17 North Carolina, Tennessee is hoping to bounce back Tuesday with a home game against George Mason with a 5:30 tipoff.
