NASCAR Wraps Up First Double Header Since

By Ciphertek Systems Jun 29, 2020 | 5:00 AM

NASCAR had their first double header for the Premiere Cup Series in modern NASCAR history. The rules for the double-header were the cars from Saturday had to be used for Sunday including the car parts. If a driver was not able to use Saturday’s car and had to go to the backup car they would start at the tail end of the field on Sunday. The historic weekend took place in Pocono in the state of Pennsylvania. The Pocono Speedway contains 3 Turns instead of the usual 4 and is in a triangular shape. Saturday’s race was filled with strategies for crew chiefs to execute cleanly. Kevin Harvick had the best strategy in Pocono after holding of Denny Hamlin to win his first race at Pocono after 38 Starts at the Tricky Triangle. This is Harvick’s 3rd win on the year and is second for most wins this season. Sunday’s race had the leaders flipped seeing Denny Hamlin hold of Kevin Harvick for his 4th win of the season being the most winning-est driver this season and tied Jeff Gordon for the most wins at Pocono Speedway. The next Cup Series race will be held on July 5th at the most iconic racetrack in the world being the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race can be seen on NBC starting at 3:00 PM.
