Sales tax receipts are down slightly for the fiscal year

The Crossville City Manager report to council shows sales tax collections are down by about $25,000 for the fiscal year to date, however the monthly collections were steady at just over $1.03 million. City Manager Greg Wood attributes most of the decrease in the sales tax holiday that ran though October of 2023. Meanwhile, beer taxes are down for the month and for the yearly total with October 2023 collections at $62,372.
