On January 11, 2024, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was notified about an ongoing phone scam occurring around the community. The individual will call and claim to be Deputy Rowe from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and state that he is contacting you regarding an active warrant and may request money.
Sheriff Eddie Farris stated, “The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will never contact you and ask you for money. If you receive a call like this, do not give them any personal information, hang up and contact our dispatch at 931-528-8484 to report it.”
