It was a SEC showdown on Sunday afternoon in the Food City Center as the Lady Vols sporting their Summitt Blue hosted the Tigers from Missouri. Just like the Men’s team on Saturday the Lady Vols never lost the lead against Missouri. The Lady Vols knock down the Tigers 80-69. Tennessee picked up their 14th win on the season and 7th conference win moving back into 2nd place in the SEC.
It was a historical game for Tennessee’s Rickea Jackson as she reached 2,000 career points on Sunday. Rickea finished the game scoring 19 points against the Tigers. It was Jewel Spear leading the Lady Vols in points with 22. Sara Puckett was the third leading scorer with 15 points.
