Woman Killed by Train in Sweetwater Thursday Afternoon

A woman died in a train crash in Sweetwater Thursday afternoon. It happened around 3pm at the intersection of Old Highway 68 and Duck Park.  Sharlotte Castillo-Wong was reportedly driving across the tracks in bumper-to-bumper traffic when the crossing arms came down and she could not move her vehicle off the railroad tracks.  The conductor blasted the horn multiple times and tried tried to stop the train but was unsuccessful.   The woman was trying to get out of her truck when the Norfolk Southern train hit and she died on impact.
