The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is warning about a phone scam in which the individual is claiming to be with Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and using the name Deputy Rowe. This individual will state that they are attempting to locate you to serve you a warrant or collect money. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, along with all other law enforcement agencies, will never contact you by phone asking you for money. Putnam County residents or anyone who receives such calls are asked to report scam activity to Dispatch at 931-528-8484.
