The city of Crossville reported a slight decrease in sales tax revenue for the latest reporting period of January. According to City Manager Valerie Hale’s report at Tuesday’s council meeting, collections were at $892,000, down by about $18,000 from the previous year. For the year, sales tax collections remain ahead of last year at $7.33 million. Beer tax revenue was up for the period of January, coming in at almost $53,000, however, for the year, proceeds from beer sales is down from last year at $446,000.
