An employee has died after an explosion Thursday morning at a chemical plant in Chattanooga. It happened at TS USA, a liquid nitriding facility near the Tennessee River. The Chattanooga Fire Department says one of the workers was burned and his fellow workers tried to help him and also extinguished the fire.
The worker was rushed to the hospital with extensive burns and died from his injuries.
At least three other workers reportedly suffered minor burns and were treated on the scene.
