A man faces attempted murder charges in Putnam County after he allegedly fired at Deputies who were conducting a welfare check Saturday afternoon (6/1/2024) at a home on Highway 56 near Baxter.
Putnam County Sheriff Eddie Farris negotiated with the suspect, identified as Danny K. Roberts, who surrendered.
Roberts was charged with 2-counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder and was being held without bond.
