Former Morgan County Sheriff Dennis Ledbetter has passed away. He was 80. According to his obituary, Dennis Ledbetter served in the Air Force, he was also a Trooper for the Tennessee Highway Patrol, he served 3 terms as Sheriff of Morgan County, he was an Investigator for the Roane County Sheriff’s Department, and a Bomb and Arson Investigator for the State of Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 53-years, Sandra Jean, a son, daughter and numerous grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg, Tennessee from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with service to follow.
