A motorcyclist was killed on I-40 in Cumberland County Wednesday night after she was hit by a pickup truck. It happened around 8pm between Crab Orchard and Rockwood near the the 336 eastbound mile marker.
According to the THP, 61-year-old Helen McGarvey was riding a Harley Davidson in the eastbound lane when she was struck head-on by a pickup traveling in the wrong direction. McGarvey died from her injuries.
The driver of the truck, 45-year-old Daniel Miller, was not hurt. The THP says charges are pending against Miller.
