VEC reports that some 454 people are without electricity in west Fairfield Glade after someone cut a large tree onto power lines this afternoon (Wednesday, July 10, 2024). It happened around 2:30pm. The Cooperative said 4 poles were broken, one damaged and 2 transformers were destroyed. Due to the severity of the damage, this is expected to be a prolonged outage.
