Cumberland County Commission remains down a member

The Cumberland County Commission stands at 17 members following the May resignation of 1st District Commissioner Dewey Walker. Walker stepped down from the seat after moving out of the district. Wiley Potter, the only candidate to file qualifying papers for the position will assume the post after the formal election in August.
