Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford and House Speaker Cameron Sexton joined Whisper Aero Co-founders, Mark Moore and Ian Villa, for the official ribbon cutting of Whisper Aero’s Flight Test Center. Construction on the 8,000 square foot hangar at the Crossville Memorial Airport began last July. The new facility was made possible through a $1.2 million appropriation from the State of Tennessee and features a high bay area for testing and office space for onsite engineering.
On his Facebook page Speaker Sexton wrote it was an “Exciting day in Crossville as Whisper Aero and their 40+ employees opened their flight test center. We appreciate their decision to make Crossville the nations HQ for the next generation of aero propulsion technology.” (Top photo submitted. Bottom photo courtesy Speaker Cameron Sexton Facebook)
