On Friday (August 16, 2024), the Tennessee Highway Safety Office recognized the achievements of law enforcement agencies statewide during the 20th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge.
In our area in the 1 to 10 Officers Category, the Jamestown Police Department won Third Place.
The Fairfield Glade Police Department took Second Place in the 11 to 25 Officers Category.
The Crossville Police Department was awarded Third Place in the 46 to 75 Officers Category.
In the Tennessee Highway Patrol Districts Category First Place went to District 6 – Cookeville.
Award winners were determined based on the highest accumulation of points in each category. Points were accumulated based on THSO-grant funded activities to increase traffic safety in local communities.
