The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced that bridge test operations will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Putnam County starting approximately 8am CST, from mile marker 300 to mile marker 301. The slow lane will be closed first on the east bound bridges to do maintenance test operations and then it will swap over to the west bound lane. Maintenance crews will be assisting. This work will require single lane closures with traffic control in place. Motorists should drive with extreme caution in the work zones.
