Baseball: According to Tennessee Athletics, Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White announced that National Coach of the Year Tony Vitello has inked a five-year contract extension through June 30, 2029 to remain on Rocky Top. Vitello led Tennessee to its first national championship in program history in 2024 and was named the National Coach of the Year by multiple outlets.

Soccer: In News from Tennessee Athletics, Tennessee soccer was fired on all cylinders during a Sunday afternoon matchup against Lipscomb, picking up a 3-0 win. Following their win over the Bisons, the Lady Vols have now posted three consecutive clean sheets and given up just three shots on frame in the last three contests. UT heads to Duke for its next contest and is set to take on the Blue Devils on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Rowing: From a article from Tennessee Athletics, Two current members of the Tennessee rowing team earned a silver medal while racing at the 2024 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Canada last week. Junior Hannah Smith and Team USA secured silver in the U23 Women’s Eight event, while senior Alice Fahey of Team New Zealand took silver in the U23 Women’s Four competition.
