Drawings over the past couple of days at the Tennessee Lottery created thousands of winners throughout the state, including a whopping $3 million Mega Millions win in Murfreesboro and a $210,000 Daily Tennessee Jackpot win in Cookeville.
The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation operates from the revenue it generates through the sale of its products. Since January 2004, the Tennessee Education Lottery has raised more than $7.5 billion to fund designated education programs, including college grants, scholarships, and K-12 after-school programs. In addition to the educational beneficiaries, players have won more than $20.5 billion in prizes and Lottery retailers have earned more than $1.9 billion in commissions.
