It’s been a rough opening weekend for #15 Tennessee Volleyball as they opened the season in Knoxville Friday against #7 Penn State then on the road to #6 Louisville ultimately falling 3-1 to Penn State and 3-0 to Louisville. On a bright note Lady Vol Nina Cajic passed 1,000 kills in her career in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. Cajic led the Lady Vols Sunday with 9 kills and 5 digs however it wasn’t enough against #6 Louisville. #15 Tennessee Volleyball comesback to Knoxville to play host to UCLA on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
According to a statement from Tennessee Athletics, Tennessee’s soccer match at Duke, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, was canceled due to inclement weather. The match went into the fourth minute, before weather moved in and delayed the game. When the match was delayed, the score was 0-0. At approximately 7:09 p.m., the coaches and game officials decided to cancel the match. The Lady Vols will return home to host #3 UCLA Thursday, September 5 at 6 p.m. inside Regal Stadium.
