The Tennessee Department of Transportation says I-40 in Putnam County will be reduced to one lane eastbound between mile markers 292 and 295 starting Sunday night (9/22/24) at 10PM and will continue through Monday morning around 9AM. Then on Tuesday (9/24/22) I-40 will be reduced to one lane westbound between mile makers 295 and 297 starting at 6AM through 6PM. Motorists should reduce speed and use caution in the area.
In Rhea County, TDOT says there will be utility work and flagging operations on State Highway 30 from Reed Road and Cumberland Springs Road. Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop. Trucks, signage, flaggers, and barrels/cones will be present beginning Sunday, September 22 through Friday, September 27, 2024 from 9AM to 2PM.
