Man Accused of Driving Vehicle Off Repo Truck and Fleeing

A man is accused of driving his vehicle off of a repo truck as it was being repossessed in the parking lot of the Crossville Walmart Monday evening (9/30/24).  Police were dispatched to the Supercenter shortly before 6pm in reference to React Recovery attempting to reposses a white 2013 Dodge Journey. The police report states the vehicle was already on the trailer and hooked to the repo truck when the owner of the Dodge allegedly jumped into the car and drove it off the repo truck. This caused the entire rear bumper to snap off the Dodge Journey.  The vehicle allegedly fled the Walmart parking lot and turned left onto Highway 127.  The repo company just wanted a report that they were not the ones who damaged the vehicle.
