A man faces charges after he allegedly tampered with a City of Crossville sewage pump house on Sunday night (9/29/24).  City units were dispatched shortly after 9pm for a report of a male subject inside the pump house fence who was not wearing pants. The subject was later identified as 47-year-old Anthony Jason Price who is listed as homeless.

A water treatment employee told Police that he responded to the location after receiving a high level alarm which indicated that the pumps were not working properly. That’s when he found Mr. Price inside the locked fence surrounding the sewer pump station. The fence has barb wire on the top and a sign stating Authorized Personnel Only.

The water treatment employee told Police that equipment had been tampered with which caused an interruption with the operation of the sewage plant.

Price was charged with Critical Infrastructure Vandalism and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center.

According to the report, on Monday, October 1, the Sanitation Department informed Police that there was no damage to the equipment.
