The Tennessee Volunteers have defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide on The Third Saturday in October. The Volunteers lit up the cigars and claimed their 6th win of the season after outlasting Alabama 24-17.
Freshman Quarterback Nico Iamaleava threw 1 touchdown pass and threw for 194 yards. Star running back Dylan Sampson rushed for 139 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. Sampson has scored a touchdown in every game this season for the Vols. Tulane transfer Chris Brazzell II was the receiver that caught the lone touchdown pass. Bru McCoy had the most receiving yards with 80 on 6 receptions. The Volunteer defense allowed 17 points and forced two interceptions.
