Voice of the Vols Bob Kesling set to Retire

The Vol Network and Tennessee Athletics announced on Thursday that longtime Voice of the Vols Bob Kesling will retire at the end of the 2024-25 Men’s Basketball season.

Kesling’s association with the University of Tennessee starts in 1972 where he became a walk-on Fullback on the Freshman Football team. His broadcasting career started in 1974 when he became a spotter for Jon Ward. Before Kesling called football games he was the Voice of the Lady Vols basketball team from 1978 to 1999 calling 6 of Pat Summitt’s NCAA National Championships. He took over for Jon Ward calling the football games in 1999 and since then has broadcasted the football and basketball games for the Vol Network. Additionally, Bob called games for the Knoxville Cherokees hockey team, the Knoxville Blue Jays baseball team, and the Nashville Sounds baseball team.
