It was an in-state battle between the #11 Tennessee and the Austin Peay Governors at Food City Center in Knoxville on Sunday. The team from the eastern part of the state broke the century mark against the from Clarksville as the Vols won 103-68.
Six different Vols scored in double digits with Igor Miličić Jr. leading the way with 23 points. Close behine Igor was Zakai Zeigler with 19 points. Jordan Gainey, Cade Phillips, Felix Okpara, Jahmai Mashack rounded out the scoring with 15, 13, 12, and 10 points respectively. Austin Peay was led in scoring by Isaac Haney with 22 points and LJ Thomas was close behind him with 20 points.
It’s another early season road test as the Vols will be on their way to Charlottesville to play guest to the Virginia Cavaliers. Tennessee will take on Virginia Thursday, November 21st at 8:30 PM.
