An 18-year-old faces felony assault charges for allegedly pointing a laser at an airplane at Nashville International Airport on Thursday morning (12/12/2024), and also at a police helicopter that was searching for the suspect.
Officers tracked the source of the laser to the area of Cumberland Station Boulevard where they found Destin Wyndham with a group of people. Wyndham reportedly turned the laser over to investigators and was booked into jail on two counts of Felony Assault With a Deadly Weapon. The teen was released on a $20,000 bond.
