The Tennessee Lady Volunteers enjoyed a holiday trip to Florida to take part in the West Palm Beach Classic where they played two reigning conference champions. UT was able to defeat both of those opponents by 25+ points.
It started Friday when the Lady Vols took on defending A-10 Champions the Richmond Spiders. Tennessee would roll past Richmond 92-67. Talaysia Cooper was the top scorer for Tennessee with 24 points. The Spiders were led by Rachel Ullstrom who scored 19 points for her team.
The Lady Vols were back at it Saturday morning taking on defending AAC Champions the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tennessee was able calm the Golden Hurricane by 41 points defeating Tulsa 102-61. Jewel Spear edged out Lazaria Spearman as the leading scorer with 16 points. Spearman was right behind her with 15 points. Tulsa was led in way by Senior Delanie Crawford scoring 17 points.
The nationally ranked Tennessee Lady Vols return to Rocky Top on Sunday December 29th to take on the Winthrop Eagles at 1:00 PM.
