Cumberland County’s December unemployment rate rose to 4.5%, up 0.3% from November’s 4.2% and also up 0.3% for the year.
Moore County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month at 2.5%.
Unicoi County reported the highest unemployment rate for the month at 5.9%.
Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.6% in December, which is five-tenths of a percentage point below the national rate of 4.1%.
