While most of the surprise and talk was around Colorado Quarterback Shadeur Sanders dropping to the 144th pick in the 5th round at this past weekend’s NFL Draft four Tennessee Volunteers heard their names called.

The Vols added another 1st round pick to their resume as Defensive End/EDGE James Pearce Jr was selected in the first round at the 26th pick to the Atlanta Falcons. Another defensive star in Omarr Norman-Lott, a defensive tackle, was selected in the 2nd round to the Kansas City Chiefs with the 63rd pick. The last two Vols were selected in the 4th round with Wide Receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr was drafted to the Las Vegas Raiders with the 108th pick and the last to go was Dylan Sampson being picked with the 126th pick to the Cleveland Browns.

While those 4 were drafted over the weekend UT had 3 more players signed as free agents. Omari Thomas was picked up by the New Orleans Saints, Elijah Simmons was signed by the Arizona Cardinals, and Will Brooks signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
