A Nashville woman was arrested early Thursday after leading Cumberland County deputies on a high-speed chase that began at the old Crab Orchard gas station. Deputies approached a black Volvo around 2 a.m. and detected the smell of marijuana. When asked to step out, the driver, Bianca Kardashian Newson, fled, nearly hitting a deputy. The chase reached 130 mph on I-40, with Newson briefly losing control before continuing eastbound and exiting at the Crab Orchard exit. She was stopped on Wheeler Lane, where she and passenger Trey White, also of Nashville, were detained. A search uncovered substances believed to be Oxycodone, Ecstasy, and marijuana residue. Newson faces multiple charges with bond set at $35,000 and a court date of June 9th.
