Just short of a week after an unranked Tennessee soccer team knocked off then #1 North Carolina, the now ranked #6 Lady Vols went west to Los Angeles and upset #4 UCLA. The Lady Vols took down the Bruins Wednesday night with 1-0 score.
The game winning goal came in the 24th minute by none other than Shae O’Rourke who now has four goals on the season just one shy of Alivia Stott who leads UT with 5 goals. Tennessee’s Goal Keeper has yet to allow a goal this season Cayden Norris earned her 3rd straight clean sheet with 5 saves. Keaton Mitchell was given a yellow card in Wednesday nights contest as well she is the first Lady Vol to be given a yellow card this season.
The Lady Vols stay undefeated and update their record to 3-0. #6 Tennessee will stay in the City of Angels for a game Saturday against Loyola Marymount. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
