VEC has announced a planned power outage for the Lantana Substation beginning at 11pm Wednesday, March 4 to 5am Thursday, March 5, 2026. The Lantana Substation outage will include Lake Tansi, parts of Sherwood Farms and all customers on the south end of Cumberland County down Lantana Road, Vandever Road and Pigeon Ridge Road. During this work, the Crab Orchard Substation will experience two brief outages—one at the start of the project and another at the end. This work is necessary to safely transfer lines to new poles on the transmission system. VEC apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience.
