A driver faces charges following a two-vehicle crash near the entrance of Cumberland Mountain State Park. According to Trooper Chris Bennett’s report, shortly after 4pm Thursday, 19-year-old Verity Purpose Autumn Miller, of Crossville, was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer South on Highway 127 South when she stopped to make a left turn into a driveway. Sheila Pickens Holt, age 60, also of Crossville, was driving behind the Ford in a 2017 GMC Acadia and failed to stop in time, striking the Ford in the rear. Ms. Holt was charged with failure to exercise due care. Neither driver was reportedly injured.
