A FedEx truck driver was seriously injured in a wreck on I-40 westbound in Cumberland County Monday afternoon. It happened around 2:30pm between the 331 and 332 mile marker. According to Trooper Chris Bennett’s report, 62-year-old Ralph Jeffery Story, of Hermitage, TN was driving a FedEx tractor-trailer pulling double trailers and was traveling West on Interstate 40 at mile marker 331.8 near Crab Orchard. The truck ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, then traveled down an embankment and overturned on its side. Mr. Story was flown to UT Medical Center by lifeforce helicopter. The crash is still under investigation.
