Incumbent Republican lawmakers posted overwhelming victories in their local legislative districts. Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton retained House District 25, drawing 18,459 votes in Cumberland County against Democrat Monica Mowdy, who finished with 5,419 votes. In the state Senate, Paul Bailey ran unopposed for District 15 and received 17,695 complimentary votes.
