In regular session, the Crossville City Council gave approval for the construction of a disc golf course at Meadow Park Lake by the Crossville Disc Golf Club. The motion by councilmember Scot Shanks calls for the Crossville Leisure Services Department and the Crossville Cumberland County Sports and Events Council to work with the club to design and install an 18-hole course as well as a practice area. Upon completion, the city would maintain the grounds and provide liability insurance. Disc golf uses the rules and scoring of golf, but players use a Frisbee instead of a ball to reach a target.
