Two people were hurt in a crash on 127 North in Cumberland County Tuesday Morning. According to Trooper Justin Mote’s report, shortly before 8am, 31-year-old Kozzi Cole, of Crossville, was driving a 2015 Kia Flex and was stopped at the stop sign of Maynard Road at US Highway 127N. Lydia Bontrager, age 22, of Monterey, was driving a 2006 SAAB 9-3 northbound on US Highway 127N. The Kia was crossing over US Highway 127N toward Bowman Loop and pulled out in front of the SAAB, which was unable to avoid striking the Kia. Kayla Harper, age 22, of Crossville, was a passenger in the Kia and was injured. Ms. Bontrager was also hurt. Cole and two other passengers reportedly were not injured. Cole was charged with Failure To Yield.
