Cumberland County Board of Education Chief Financial Officer, Kacee Harris, presented board members with a bright financial picture. According to Harris, sales tax collections for the latest period were up $50,000 from last year while the year-to-date figures are up by $243,000. For the fiscal year, the board has collected almost $2.9 million in Local Option Sales Tax. Harris also reports that budget expenditures are on track at 19% of the budget.
