The Stone Memorial High School Panthers closed out the regular season Friday night with a road trip to Lebanon as they battled the Commanders at Friendship Christian School. The home team posted a 35-8 victory. The Panthers, now 4 and 6 this season, have earned a berth in the state playoffs for an eighth straight season and will travel to Tullahoma to play the unbeaten Wildcats Friday, November 6th. The Cumberland County High School Jets were scheduled to also be in action on Friday, but DeKalb County High School was forced to cancel the game due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Tigers the Region regular season champs will also miss the TSSAA state playoffs. The Jets season concludes with the COVID-19 win.
