Bill Hagerty picks up a win to fill the seat of U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander. Hagerty, the Republican candidate, picked up over 24,000 votes in Cumberland County to defeat Democratic contender Marquita Bradshaw. Statewide, Hagerty drew over 60 percent of the vote. In the race for the 6th District U.S. House, Congressman John Rose was re-elected. Rose collected just over 23,000 votes in Cumberland County to defeat Christopher Finley. Across the district, Rose captured 73 percent of the vote.
