According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office a Deputy traveling on Dogwood Road was run into a ditch after a white SUV traveled into his lane. The Deputy was able to turn the cruiser around and catch back up with the SUV. The vehicle failed to yield to the lights and sirens and reached speeds up to 95 MPH. The driver also failed to maintain their lane several times. The SUV caused a UPS Truck, and a Jeep to leave the roadway to avoid being hit. The fleeing vehicle also drove into a yard and nearly hit a truck hauling rock on a trailer in the roadway. After the SUV finally came into a stop a passenger identified as James Moulder fled on foot to the west and the driver identified as Cortney Maynor fled on foot to the east. Ms. Maynor was caught after a short chase and admitted to drinking alcohol. The passenger Mr. Moulder was never located and now has warrants for his arrest. Courtney Maynor was transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office where she was booked and charged with DUI, Felony Evading, Reckless Endangerment x4, Evading Arrest, Reckless Driving, and Driving on Revoked License.
