On Friday, November 20, 2020, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brian Allen Hodges for Solicitation of First – Degree Murder. On November 18, 2020, Putnam County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division learned that Brian Allen Hodges was attempting to hire someone to kill Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy John Frazier. Between November 18th and the time of the arrest, Brian Hodges was introduced to an undercover agent posing as a hit man. It was during a meeting between the undercover agent and Brian Hodges, that the investigators learned the threat was real. During the meeting Brian Hodges agreed to pay the undercover agent posing at the hit man $10,000 to have Deputy Frazier killed. Deputy Frazier is currently married to Brian Hodges’ mother.
Hodges has previous arrests which include drug charges (methamphetamine), domestic assaults, and burglaries.
Sheriff Farris stated he is very proud of his agency and how they worked with District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway and his office which resulted in the arrest of Brian Hodges. Investigators continue to follow up on numerous pieces of information and are still forming the details of this case.
Hodges is being held without bond at this time, and his court date is set for Monday, November 23, 2020.
