History Made in Vanderbilt Football Game

Nov 29, 2020 | 6:00 AM

History was made in Saturday’s College Football game between the Missouri Tigers and the Vanderbilt Commodores of Nashville. The Commodores had called up Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer Goalie Sarah Fuller to be suited up for the game. Fuller made history by being the First Woman to play in a Power 5 Conference Football Game. Sarah Fuller helped lead the Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer team to its first SEC Championship since 1994 just last week. Fuller stated in an interview "The fact that I can represent all the girls out there that have wanted to do this or thought about playing football or any sport really, and it encourages them to be able to step out and do something big like this, it’s awesome." Vanderbilt heads to Athens next week to take on the Georgia Bulldogs.
